Is there WiFi at the resort?
Yes, WiFi is available across the resort.
Can the kitchen cater for dietary needs?
Yes — the kitchen team is happy to cater for most dietary needs, including gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan.
What diving certifications do you accept?
Pharaoh Dive Club is a RAID-affiliated Instructor Development Centre and a recognised BSAC overseas training centre, so most internationally recognised certifications are accepted.
Do you offer both shore and boat diving?
Both — the house reef is accessed directly from the shore, with zodiac/boat trips available for sites further along the coast.
Can non-divers stay at the resort?
Yes — Roots is as much a quiet retreat for non-divers as it is a dive resort.
Is there anything to do beyond diving and the resort?
PDC Travel arranges bespoke tours across Egypt — from a day trip to Luxor or Cairo to an extended Nile itinerary.
Can I get involved in marine conservation during my stay?
Open Ocean, a marine conservation non-profit based at Roots Red Sea, runs volunteer research, citizen science and education programmes on the reef.
