Why train at a RAID Instructor Development Centre
Pharaoh Dive Club describes itself as a RAID-affiliated Instructor Development Centre, and a recognised BSAC overseas training centre — which is a slightly dry way of saying it trains instructors, not just recreational divers.
In practice, that means the same house reef used for a first Open Water course is also where instructor candidates run their own assessed teaching sessions, under a team that's used to training to that standard day in, day out. It's part of why the operation stays deliberately small — a training centre that's serious about instructor development doesn't want twenty divers per guide.
It also means the range on offer goes further than most resort dive centres: recreational courses through to technical and RAID specialty training, enriched-air diving, and a training pool for absolute beginners who'd rather find their feet before the open water.
Whether you're doing a single Discover Scuba dive or working toward an instructor rating, you're training in the same water, with the same team.
